These are some of my favorite books about dogs and training, as well as books on other subjects.

 

There are also a few books that I don't recommend whole-heartedly, but still think they're worth having. For instance the Turid Rugass and Brenda Aloff books on "calming signals" are valuable, but only as long as you don't buy into the idea that dogs exhibit these micro-expressions with the intent to communicate their feelings to others. I included the Marc Bekoff book because he wrote a chapter about me!
